  • 26.2 miles - Marathon
  • 10.0 miles - 10 Mile

Course and logistics

Both races use the Sag Valley Trail system. The surface is wide horse trail with little to no technical trail running, and the courses often have two-way runner traffic. Horses are commonly present on the trails. Elevation gain is listed as approximately 670 ft for the 10 Mile and 1,050 ft for the Marathon. The marathon route consists of two circuits of the 10-mile course plus a final 10k out-and-back segment.

Aid stations and timing checkpoints are located at the main turnaround points; approximate mile marks include 2.9, 4.6, 7.8, 10.0, 12.9, 14.6, 17.8, 20.0, and 23.1. Aid station supplies include water and Gatorade Endurance, with additional items and toilets at specified stations. Packet pick-up is race-day only at the Teason’s Woods picnic shelter. Parking at Teason’s Woods is limited to about 50 cars; an alternate lot at Saganashkee Slough - East is available with an approximate 400 m walk to the site.
