The event takes place on May 9, 2026, at Teason’s Woods / Cap Sauers Holding Nature Preserve, 11200 S Willow Springs Rd, Palos Hills, IL. The race includes these distances:

Course and logistics
Both courses use the Sag Valley Trail system and cover maintained routes on wide horse trail. The trails allow two-way traffic and often have horses present. The marathon has about 1,050 ft of elevation gain; the 10 Mile course has about 670 ft of elevation gain. The marathon route consists of two circuits of the 10 Mile course plus a final out-and-back 10k to the west aid station.
Aid stations are located at each turnaround and at several other points, approximately at miles 2.9, 4.6, 7.8, 10, 12.9, 14.6, 17.8, 20, and 23.1. Stations provide water and Gatorade Endurance; some stations include gels, snacks, and porta-potties.
Packet pickup is race-day only at the Teason’s Woods picnic shelter. Parking at Teason’s Woods is limited to about 50 cars; an alternate lot at Saganashkee Slough - East is about 400 m away. Volunteers are used at aid stations and receive swag or discounts. All finishers receive a wooden medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
