Exeter Half Marathon & Riverside 5

The event is a weekend of organised running in Exeter featuring two distances. The half marathon is a two-lap course covering 13.1 miles (21.1 km). The route starts from Piazza Terracina, Haven Road, runs along Exeter Quayside and around the Riverside Valley Park. The Riverside 5 is a separate 5 mile event that follows the Quayside and the Riverside Valley Park before returning to the finish at Haven Banks.

Entry is available as an individual booking or via charity places. Charity runners are asked to meet a minimum fundraising pledge of £200 for the half marathon and £80 for the Riverside 5, excluding gift aid. England Athletics members receive a discounted entry to UKA licensed events.

Race provision includes water stations and medical assistance on course. Finish-area facilities commonly include toilets, a recovery area, medical support and a bag store. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Results are shared after the event via email and on Webscorer. The organiser provides race instructions, a route map with mile markers, marshal point information and a certificate of course accuracy. The UK Athletics minimum age requirement applies; participants must be over 17 on the day. The half marathon allows an extended maximum completion time of 3 hours 30 minutes. A guided countryside run from Bovey Tracey to Lustleigh and back, about 10.5 miles with roughly 2000 ft of ascent. The route follows paths and lanes via Shaptor Down and Gladstone Rock; trail shoes and a waterproof are recommended.

Experience the rugged beauty of the South West Coast Path in South Devon with three distance options. Runners follow a hilly multi-terrain course from Kingswear or Babbacombe to a scenic finish at Shaldon.

A multi terrain seven mile race at Kilmington Cricket Ground on 25 April 2026, with a 4 km option and a 1 km fun run for children. The undulating route passes roads, woodland and fields and offers on-site refreshments and a water station.

An LDWA members only event of three roughly 10 mile loops from Leusdon Memorial Hall, offering 10, 20 or 31 mile options across moor, woods and tors. Numbers are limited and a waiting list may operate.
