Exeter Half Marathon

Exeter, United Kingdom • 6-7 Feb 2027

Exeter Half Marathon & Riverside 5

The event comprises two race options held across a weekend in early February: a two‑lap half marathon and a separate 5 mile race. The half marathon covers 13.1 miles (21.1 km) and follows a two‑lap route that starts at Piazza Terracina, Haven Road, runs along Exeter Quayside and goes around Riverside Valley Park. The Riverside 5 Miles route also follows the Quayside and Riverside Valley Park before returning to the finish area at Haven Banks.

Both race days are open to all and have an extended maximum completion time of 3 hrs 30 mins. The UK Athletics minimum age requirement applies and participants must be at least 17 years old on the day of the event. Medals are provided to all finishers.

Support on course typically includes water stations and medical assistance. Finish area facilities commonly include toilets, a water station, a recovery area, a medical station and a bag store. Results are shared after the race via email and on Webscorer. England Athletics members receive discounted entry for UKA licensed events.

There are two entry routes: securing a charity place with a minimum fundraising pledge of £80 for the Riverside 5 and £200 for the half marathon, or booking a standard entry. Team Exeter City Community Trust entrants receive a technical running top, a fundraising pack, online training materials and post-event hospitality.
