Exeter Half Marathon & Riverside 5

The event comprises a two lap half marathon and a separate five mile race organised by Exeter City Community Trust. The half marathon covers 13.1 miles and follows a course that starts at Piazza Terracina, Haven Road, then runs along Exeter’s historic Quayside and around Riverside Valley Park.

The Riverside 5 mile route follows the Quayside, passes through Riverside Valley Park and returns to the finish area at Haven Banks. The half marathon and the five mile race both include finisher medals.

Age requirements are specified: the half marathon is for participants over 17 years old and the 5 mile event is for participants over 15 years old. The half marathon has an extended maximum completion time of 3 hours 30 minutes. Course support typically includes water stations and medical assistance. Finish area facilities commonly include toilets, a water station, a recovery area, a medical station and a bag store.

Participants can enter via charity places or by booking their own place. Charity entries carry a minimum fundraising pledge of £80 for the Riverside 5 and £200 for the half marathon, excluding gift aid.
