ESTRS French 5KM : Participant Guide
The French 5KM is a single loop trail race held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at French Regional Park in Plymouth, Minnesota. The course is a runnable but rolling 5 kilometer loop on primarily wide, non-technical soft surface trails that double as ski routes in winter. The total elevation gain is about 210 feet, roughly 68 feet per mile. Course routing is marked with orange survey style pin flags, normally placed on the left side of the trail.
This chip-timed event includes a race number with the timing chip affixed to its back. The chip is disposable and must remain attached and visible on the front of the runner while racing. There is no water stop on the 5 kilometer course; water is available at the finish and runners may carry their own hydration if desired. Headphones are allowed but volume should be low or one earbud out. Playing music out loud is not permitted. Dogs may not run with participants but supervised on-leash dogs are welcome for spectators.
Registration opens January 1, 2026. The field limit is 425 runners and the entry fee is $30 plus registration service fees. Entry fees are not refundable or transferable under any circumstance. The event provides chip timing, course marking, a giveaway sticker, volunteers, and post-race refreshments including Domino’s Pizza. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
