The Estrella Mountain Trail Fest takes place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Estrella Mountain Regional Park in Goodyear, AZ 85338. The event includes the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- 10K / 5K Challenge
All events use trail routes that run through and around the Estrella Mountain Regional Park range and include scenic views of the surrounding mountains. Due to construction at the park, the 2025 routes have been adjusted. All events start and finish at the Desert Rose Trail Head; the half marathon route also uses the Estrella Mountain competitor track and Coldwater Trail.
Course, logistics and awards
The half marathon has a 4-hour time limit and will have water stations along the course. The 10K is a trail run with hydration available along the route and shares the finish area with the half marathon and 5K. The 5K starts at the Desert Rose Trail Head and has a hydration station near mile 2. Finish-line provisions include water, Gatorade, fruit, snacks and music. Half marathon, 10K and challenge finishers have access to a VIP area with cold drinks, fruit and snacks. Event swag is provided. Overall awards are given to the top three male and female finishers for the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K.
