The Estes Epic takes place on September 27-28, 2025 at 380 Community Drive, Estes Park, Colorado. The event includes multiple race options:

The course routes use single-track trails and public land near Rocky Mountain National Park. The 50k run course is described as roughly 32 miles with about 5,700 ft of vertical gain. The event materials note remote terrain, significant climbs, and views of Rocky Mountain National Park.

Aid stations, fees, and event support

The 50k course has three aid stations, with two of those visited twice for a total of five stops at approximately miles 5.6, 8, 16, 21.5, and 25.5. The Heavy Half visits the first aid station twice, at about miles 5.6 and 9.7. Aid stations will offer water, Epic endurance fuel, salty and sweet snacks, and packaged food.

This event is the primary fundraiser for the Estes Park High School Mountain Bike Team; proceeds help cover race fees, equipment, and transportation. Team members will volunteer at the start/finish, aid stations, and as course marshals. Participants are required to complete four hours of volunteer work, preferably trail maintenance on public lands.
