Estes Epic, Estes Park, Colorado

The Estes Epic takes place September 26-27, 2026 in Estes Park, Colorado at 380 Community Drive. After a six-year hiatus the event returns with multiple mountain and trail race options over two days.

Distance categories include:

  • 50k Bike - 31 miles, mountain bike race
  • 50k Run - 31 miles, trail race
  • Heavy Half Marathon - 15 miles, trail race
  • The Epic - 62 miles, duathlon

Courses follow rugged trails with significant climbs and include views of Rocky Mountain National Park. The Heavy Half uses aid stations at miles 5.6 and 9.7, with the first station visited twice.

Aid stations will provide water, Epic endurance fuel, salty and sweet snacks, and packaged food. Proceeds support the Estes Park High School Mountain Bike Team; team members will volunteer at aid stations and serve as course marshals. A $20 discount applies to Estes Valley students, members of Estes Valley Trail Runners, teachers, first responders, active duty military, and veterans.
