Mugdock, United Kingdom • 15 Jan 2026

EpicTrails 8 km - Hunting out more trails

The event is scheduled for 15 January 2026 and is organised by EpicTrails. The route is an 8 km trail run that starts from Milngavie Train Station (G62 8PG) and follows local trails including sections of the Clyde Coastal Path and the West Highland Way. The event focuses on trail running by headtorch and visits several local trail sections.

Format and rules

The runs are social rather than competitive. A qualified, experienced guide who is insured and first aid trained will lead the group. Organisers state that no one will be left behind, groups will regroup at points along the route, and group sizes will be kept manageable for safety.

Mandatory kit includes trail shoes and a headtorch; participants without required kit will not be allowed to run. Dogs and participants under 18 are not permitted due to insurance. The activity is not-for-profit; money raised will first cover costs and any remainder will be donated to a local charity periodically.

Entry is priced at £3.00. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies. Refunds are given only if requested, and no refund is available with less than 24 hours notice. Total places listed: 14. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
