EpicTrails 6 km - Testing the trails by headtorch

The event is on 08 January 2026 and starts from Milngavie Train Station, G62 8PG. The route uses local trails including the Clyde Coastal Path and the West Highland Way, plus other nearby trails. Participants will run the 6 km route by headtorch.

Format and safety

The run is organised as a social group run, not a race. Participants will regroup at points along the route and the group size will be kept manageable for safety. A guide who is qualified, insured and first aid trained will lead the run. Dogs and people under 18 are not allowed because they are not covered by the event insurance.

Equipment, cost and places

Mandatory kit details will be given in the run brief. Always required are trail shoes and a headtorch; no kit means no participation. Entry cost is £3.00. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. Total places for the event are 16. The runs operate on a not-for-profit basis; money raised first covers costs and any remainder is donated to a local charity periodically. Refunds are given only if requested and not within 24 hours of the event. Organiser: EpicTrails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
