EpicTrails 10km - Castle Semple is a night trail run held by EpicTrails at Castle Semple Country Park car park, Lochwinnoch PA12 4EA. The route is approximately 10 km and uses a mix of paths and muddy trails with several climbs. The run includes visits to viewpoints around Parkhill Woods, a visit to the lookout tower visible from the A737, and may include a walk through the park maze. A guide is provided who is qualified, insured and first aid trained. The event is listed as open and the total number of places is 14.

Route, kit and rules

This is a social run rather than a race; groups will regroup at various points and no participant will be left behind. Group size is kept manageable for safety. Headtorches are mandatory and trail shoes are required; other mandatory kit may be specified in the run brief. Dogs and under-18s are not allowed due to insurance restrictions. The event operates on a not-for-profit basis: fees first cover costs and any remainder is donated to a local charity. Entry is priced at £3 and a service fee applies (4% or minimum 50p). Refunds are given only on request and will not be issued for cancellations less than 24 hours before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
