Barr Lake Trail Race - Barr Lake State Park, Brighton CO
The Barr Lake Trail Race takes place on June 13, 2026 at Barr Lake State Park in Brighton, Colorado. The event uses looped and out-and-back trails around the lake with continuous views of the water and the Front Range. Courses are listed as 100% dirt and are described as flat and fast.
Several race distances are offered:
- 50K three loops, 100% dirt, 3 aid stations, 480 feet total elevation gain
- 30K two loops, 100% dirt, 3 aid stations, 380 feet total elevation gain
- Half Marathon two loops, 100% dirt, 3 aid stations, 187 feet total elevation gain
- 15K one loop, 100% dirt, 1 aid station, 190 feet total elevation gain
- 5K out-and-back, 100% dirt, 0 aid stations, 40 feet total elevation gain
Pacers are not permitted for any distance. Crews are allowed at the finish area. A designated area for drop bags is available at the start and finish area. Parking is at the park Visitors Center parking lot and state park fees are included in race registration. The event provides course maps and aid station locations, and registration closes on June 8, 2026. Race shirts are guaranteed on race day if ordered by May 15, 2026.
