Endless Summer 6-Hour Run, Annapolis, MD
The Annapolis Striders organize the 15th Annual Endless Summer 6-Hour Run at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, Maryland. The event features a six hour solo format and a six hour relay format with three runners per team. A small portion of the race entry fee will benefit the Semper Fi Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
The course uses a perimeter loop of the park that measures approximately 4.25 miles per loop and offers plentiful shade. The Start and Finish area is located at the Red Maple Pavilion and adjacent area. The looped layout allows participants to pass the aid stations on each circuit.
Facilities are based at the Red Maple and Sassafras Pavilions. There is one aid station at the Start and a second aid station roughly halfway through the loop. Cups at the aid stations will be limited, so participants are asked to bring a personal water bottle or hydration pack. Parking is available throughout the park and at lots along the course; on race day attendees should follow parking attendants and posted signage.
Awards are presented to overall solo runners by male, female, and masters categories; to overall relay teams by male, female, and mixed categories; and to top male and female runners in ten year age groups from 29 and under through 60 and up. Medals are provided to all participants. The event premium is a sport duffel bag featuring the Endless Summer logo, with a production cutoff to be determined.
