Endless Summer 6-Hour Run
The Endless Summer event is a timed endurance run held at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis, MD, organized by the Annapolis Striders. The event offers a solo 6 hour format and a 6 hour relay format for teams of three. The course is a loop that measures approximately 4.25 miles per lap and follows the park perimeter with substantial tree cover along much of the route. The event base is at the Red Maple and Sassafras Pavilions; the Start and Finish area will be located at the Red Maple Pavilion and its adjacent area.
There are two staffed aid stops on the course: one at the Start and a second roughly halfway through the loop. Runners may use additional park parking lots along the course for staging personal supplies. Participants are asked to bring their own water bottle or hydration pack because the aid station will have limited disposable cups.
Awards include overall Solo runner categories for Male, Female, and Masters; overall relay team awards for three person teams in Male, Female, and Mixed divisions; and top Male and Female awards in 10 year age groups from 29 and Under through 60 and Up, based on distance covered. All finishers receive a medal. A portion of race fees benefits the Semper Fi Fund. The registration deadline is listed as July 18 at 11:59 PM ET.
