Emo Forest Run 2026

The Emo Forest Run is an annual athletic event held in Emo, County Laois. The 2026 edition takes place on Good Friday, April 3rd. The event features two distinct distance options for participants:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km

Both routes commence in Emo village. The 5 km course follows a loop through the grounds of Emo Court. For the 10 km race, St Michaels AC includes a team competition for the Bill Devereaux Perpetual Cup, awarded to the first finishing club team.

Event logistics are centered at the Emo Community Centre, where participants can collect their race numbers on the day of the event. On-site parking is also allocated at the community centre for all athletes.

The total number of participants for the event is capped at 400 people. The first 350 individuals to enter the event receive a bespoke Emo Forest Run t-shirt. The run is held under an approved permit with certificate number 26/77. Registration is conducted online in the months leading up to the race.
