Elves 11ish Trail is a narrative trail race that starts and finishes at the Blackwater Leisure Centre, forming a circular 11 Elvish mile route between Maldon and Mundon. About 95% of the course is off-road, across a variety of terrains. There are no marshals or arrows; runners follow written instructions and navigate themselves, with a safety note to carry a mobile number.

A checkpoint at around 7 miles awaits, and finishers receive a medal, snacks and a cuppa. Run under a Trail Running Association permit, the event invites fancy dress. Timing is by individual start, with results posted later the same day.
