The Elves 11ish Trail is a narrative trail race held on 21 December 2025. The race follows a circular route of 11 Elvish miles between Maldon and Mundon. The route is about 95% off road and uses a variety of terrain. There are no marshals or arrows; competitors follow written instructions. The event is run under permit from the Trail Running Association (permit number TBC). A route GPX file is available for download.

Practical information

The event starts and finishes at the Blackwater Leisure Centre. There will be a well stocked checkpoint at approximately 7 miles. Finishers receive a medal, snacks and a hot drink. Bags may be left in the hall at the entrant’s own risk; staff will be present during the event. Timing is based on each individual start and competitors must wear their number on the front and may be asked to shout their number at the finish. Race rules include not passing numbers to others, reporting to the organiser if abandoning the race, and not using personal stereos or MP3 players. Refund policy: 50% refund until 21 October 2025; no refunds after that date. Places total 180. Discounted entry until 18 December 2025 is £19, standard price is £21.
