Ellettsville 5K

The Ellettsville 5K takes place on September 19, 2026 in Ellettsville, Indiana at the Karst Trail Head at Route 46 and Hartstrait Roads. The event includes a short kids' fun run and separate options for runners and walkers.

The course is a flat out-and-back on the Karst Park Greenway Trail. Chip timing is provided by AB Timing. This is the fourth annual running of the event and it is part of the Mag 7 Series; the race is designated as the Mag 7 "Hidden Gem" and awards five series bonus points for completing it. T-shirts are available for entrants who register by September 9.

Registration information in the source lists a $25 fee for the 5K run and walk and no fee for the 1-mile fun run. Registration opened May 11, 2026; registration deadlines are indicated for mid-September.

Overall and age group awards are presented, and random drawings for door prizes are held after the race for both the 5K runners and walkers. A "Ring that Bell" feature and special prize are offered to anyone breaking an overall or age group record; names and record times are posted near the start. Proceeds after costs will be used to sponsor future Ellettsville sporting or recreational events. Parking is provided at several nearby lots; participants are asked not to park in the Peoples State Bank parking lot.
