The Ellettsville 5K is an athletic event held in Ellettsville, Indiana. This gathering marks the third annual edition of the race and is recognized as a part of the Mag 7 Series. The event features multiple participation options:
- 5K Run: A competitive running event covering 5 kilometers.
- 5K Walk: A race walk option covering the same 5-kilometer distance.
- 1 Mile Fun Run: A pre-race event specifically for children.
The course is located on the Karst Park Greenway Trail, starting from the Karst Trail Head at Route 46 and Hartstrait Roads. Participants follow a flat, out and back route along the paved trail.
T-shirts are provided for the first 150 participants who register by September 11. Following the conclusion of the events, organizers present overall and age group awards, alongside random drawings for door prizes. A specific "Ring that Bell" feature is available for participants who break an overall or age group record, which includes a special prize.
Proceeds from the registration fees, after covering operational costs, are allocated to sponsor future sporting and recreational activities in Ellettsville. Parking is available at several nearby locations, including the Ferrellgas office lot, Edward Jones, Ellettsville Dental Center, Campbell's Park, and Marci Jane Lewis Park.
