Course and logistics
All races use a lollipop-style trail course starting at Horse Campground. The route is about 90% single-track and horse trails with some fire road sections, rolling hills, and some challenging parts. The 50-mile and 50k courses use multiple counter-clockwise loops; the 14-mile and 10K follow one loop. This is a CUPLESS event: runners must carry the ability to hold 20 oz of water on their person, as cups are not provided at aid stations.
Parking and shuttles: 50M/50K participants park at Horse Campground. 14-mile and 10K participants park at Owen County Family YMCA (1111 State Rd 46, Spencer, IN) and are shuttled to Horse Campground; participants are advised not to miss the last shuttle. Packet pick-up is available at Civilian Brewing Corps and at the Start/Finish on race day.
Camping is available at Horse Campground for a fee, on a first-come basis with about eight sites; online lodging options are listed by organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
