Tecumseh Trail Challenge
The Tecumseh Trail Challenge is a trail running event held in the Yellowwood State Forest near Nashville, Indiana. The race primarily utilizes the Tecumseh Trail, providing participants with a route through rugged terrain during the autumn season. The start and finish area is located at the Group Camp at Yellowwood Lake.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 50K Individual: A lollypop out and back loop using the Tecumseh Trail.
- 50K Relay: A team event for 2 to 4 people using an 8-mile course for a total of 32 miles.
- 26.2 Miles: A marathon distance featuring a lap around Yellowwood Lake.
- 13.1 Miles: A single lap half marathon focused on scenic views.
- 8 Miles: The shortest distance of the event, including a loop around the lake and significant elevation.
The post-race experience includes finisher medals and age group awards for the top three male and female finishers in each category. On-site services include custom finish engravings provided by RTB awards. Food options at the finish line feature a mashed potato bar with a choice of chicken noodle or veggie soup, alongside a s'mores buffet and non-alcoholic beer from Athletic Brewing.
Festival-style camping is available directly at the race site for tent users. These sites are primitive with pit toilets and porta potties available but no other amenities.
