ECT 50% Half Marathon - Flatrock to Red Cliff
This event is a 21 km trail run from Flatrock to Red Cliff (Cobbler's Crescent Parking Lot) following Father Troy's Trail, Silver Mine Head Path and Cobbler's Path. It is presented as a sampler for the ECT 50, intended to help runners find a balance between speed and endurance ahead of a future 50k or other trail distances.
The race is inspired by the Seaside Showdown Series and presented by its crew. It is supported by the East Coast Trail Association, The Outfitters and Train 4 Trails, and insured by CARA Canadian Adventure Racing Association. Routes are available through the event's Strava club.
Check in and bib pickup take place near the starting line at Ann Waterman Family Park in Flatrock; precise timing and additional instructions are provided by the organizers. Mandatory safety requirements include carrying a cell phone and a whistle. Assistance is only available at the aid station in Middle Cove Beach unless medical attention is needed. Aid stations will provide water and Gatorade; additional supplies are the responsibility of the runner or their crew.
Registrations and bib numbers cannot be transferred to other individuals. With advance notice, a registration may be moved to another ECT Sampler Series race. If the event is cancelled, refunds less service fees or rollover registration options will be offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
