ECT 50% Half Marathon
The ECT 50% Half Marathon is a trail race of 21K running from Flatrock to the Red Cliff parking lot (Cobbler's Crescent Parking Lot) along Father Troy's Trail, Silver Mine Head Path and Cobbler's Path. The event is presented as a sampler of the ECT 50 to help runners prepare for a future 50K or to assess pacing on a trail distance.
The event is presented with support from the Seaside Showdown Series, the East Coast Trail Association, The Outfitters, and Train 4 Trails. It is insured by the Canadian Adventure Racing Association (CARA).
Race rules require every runner to carry a cell phone and a whistle. Outside assistance is permitted only at the aid station at Middle Cove Beach unless medical attention is required. Aid stations will provide water and Gatorade; crews may supply additional nutrition or gear. The event runs in varying conditions and runners are responsible for their own kit, nutrition, and clothing. Runners who withdraw must directly notify the race director.
Registrations and bib numbers are not transferable to other individuals. Transfers to another ECT Sampler Series race are possible with advance notice. If the event is cancelled, refunds less service fees or rollover registrations will be offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
