The ECT 50% Half Marathon takes place on October 10, 2026 in Flatrock, Newfoundland and Labrador. The event is a trail half marathon covering a distance of 21K from Flatrock to the Red Cliff parking area.
The course follows Father Troy's Trail, Silver Mine Head Path and Cobbler's Path, using sections of the East Coast Trail. The route connects Flatrock with the Red Cliff finish area.
Organized by ECT Sampler Series, the event is supported by The East Coast Trail Association, The Outfitters, and Train 4 Trails. The event is insured by CARA Canadian Adventure Racing Association. Listed entry fee is 44 USD and registration closes on October 10, 2026.
Safety and aid station rules include a requirement that all runners carry a cell phone and a whistle. Assistance from others is allowed only at the aid station in Middle Cove Beach except for medical attention. Aid stations will provide water and Gatorade; having a personal crew to provide extra support is encouraged. The event is held rain or shine and participants are responsible for their own kit, nutrition and clothing. Runners who withdraw are required to notify the Race Director directly.
Registration and bib numbers cannot be transferred to other individuals; transfers to another ECT Sampler Series race may be possible with advance notice. If the event is cancelled, refunds less service fees or rollover registration will be offered. Further communications and specific details will be provided to entrants.
