East Glacier Trail Tangle

The East Glacier Trail Tangle NAOC/JTRR

This is a trail running event in the Tongass National Forest near Juneau, Alaska, taking place on June 11, 2026. The event offers two course options and entries are divided by age categories for each distance.

• 1 mile on the Powerline Trail
• 4.9 miles starting at the Powerline trailhead at Gladstone

The 4.9 mile course goes north from the Powerline trailhead, follows and circles the East Glacier Trail, includes a stair section, and returns the same way. The one mile course uses the Powerline Trail.

Entry fees are listed as $15 for adults and $5 for youth 18 and under. Members of JTRR in good standing are eligible for a $5 discount. Categories are separated by age: 18 and under, and 19 and older, for each distance.

Participants are advised to park on Glacier Spur Road to avoid blocking driveways on Gladstone. The nearest restroom facilities are at the bus parking lot or at the Glacier Visitor Center.
