Eagle Ridge

Eagle Ridge is a trail running event held at Guntersville State Park in Guntersville, Alabama, with multiple distance options and a limit of 350 runners. The park includes more than 6,000 acres and over 30 miles of single-track trails; the course layout includes multiple loops, bluff views and several park access roads that allow spectators to reach multiple points.

The 50K is run as 2.5 loops and has an overall cutoff of 8 hours (about 15:28 per mile); runners who do not complete the final loop by the cutoff will be removed from the event. Aid stations provide water, Gatorade, cola, GU, pretzels, M&Ms, granola bars and other items. Aid station locations by race:

  • 5K: water at 2.4 miles
  • Half Marathon: aid at 2.4, 3.1, 3.9, 5.8, 9.1, 11.3 miles
  • 50K: aid at 2.4, 3.1, 4.0, 6.5, 7.2, 9.8, 12.9, 14.8, 17.6, 18.4, 21.7, 24.9, 28.0, 30.0 miles

All runners receive a long sleeve race shirt and a finisher medal; age-group awards apply to the Half Marathon and 50K in ten-year bands, while the 5K has overall male and female awards. This is a cupless race; participants must carry a hand-held bottle, pack or reusable cup. Packet pickup is available at a RunningLane office and the park lodge. A two-day obstacle event at Gadsden Battlefield on June 19 and 20, 2026, featuring a Friday night rope climb, a 10K obstacle race in competitive and non-competitive categories, a Kids Challenge, and volunteer roles.
