The Hateful 8 is a trail race held on Saturday 14 November 2026 at Bridgend Miniature Railway in Bridgend, South Wales. The event organiser is Mad Running Junkies. Entries open 12 October 2025 and close 13 November 2026. The minimum age to enter is 18 or older.
Race formats and distances
- 8 miles - Solo Outlaw, one loop of the trail.
- 16 miles - Double-Cross, two loops of the 8-mile route.
- 8 miles (team) - Gang Relay, team of 4 with each member running the 8-mile route.
The course description notes winding forest paths, frosty climbs, and stretches along rivers or woodland.
Entries, fees and services
Entry fees listed are: Solo Outlaw £15, Double-Cross £30, Gang Relay £60 per team. Awards include trophies for first, second and third place finishers in all race categories and a finisher’s medal. Post-race food offered is Welsh cawl or chili with bread. The event offers an option to purchase XCover for possible refunds if unable to attend.
