Event overview

The DAAA Cross Country Championships 2025 take place on Saturday 29 November 2025 at Balloch Country Park, Loch Lomond (Drymen Road, Balloch G83 8LX). Registration is at the gazebo near the Castle in Balloch Country Park. Entry fee is £2 per competitor. Club members affiliated to DAAA do not pay on race day; accounts will be sent to clubs later. A full race information PDF and an updated course map will be released closer to the event; the course layout may be subject to change.

Awards and team scoring

Individual and team prizes are listed by age group. Medals or prizes are allocated for finishing positions in U11, U13, U15, U17, Senior, U20 and Masters categories, with separate open team prizes for top teams. Team scoring is by added finishing positions: first three runners score for U11–U17 teams; first four runners score for senior teams. Trail runs nearby

A guided 6 km trail run from Milngavie Train Station using headtorches, following parts of the Clyde Coastal Path and West Highland Way. Social group runs with qualified guides, mandatory trail shoes and a headtorch.

A unique five-hour endurance run set in a medieval village. Runners complete as many laps as possible, starting in daylight and finishing under torchlight. Enter solo, in a pair, or as a team of four, with fancy dress strongly encouraged.

Test your endurance at the Ben Ledi Uphill Only Race, a 5.3 km climb with 760 m of ascent finishing at the mountain summit. This event hosts the Scottish Athletics Senior and U20 Hill Running Championships.
