Event Overview

The Donut Dash 10K is a running event that can be completed solo or as a relay team. The event is scheduled for July 11, 2026, in Moscow, Idaho.

Race Format

Participants run a 10 km distance. This can be done as an individual runner or as part of a relay team. For relay teams, only the team leader needs to complete the registration process; other team members will sign waivers on the day of the event.

Course and Location

The race starts at the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute (PCEI). The course consists of multiple loops that begin at the PCEI Stage and Pavilion and are marked with cones. Parking is primarily available at PCEI, with overflow parking along the west side of N. Polk Extension.

Unique Rule: The Donut Challenge

A distinctive feature of this event is a required donut consumption rule. Each solo participant or team receives a box of six donuts at check-in. Before starting each loop, the designated runner must eat one entire donut within the starting area. Donuts may not be eaten while running. The donuts provided are not gluten-free or vegan. Participants with dietary restrictions are permitted to bring their own donuts.

Conduct and Guidelines

The event takes place at PCEI, a "leave no trace" area. Participants are required to consume all donut portions in the starting area and must pack out their own trash. Littering may result in being banned from future events organized by the Palouse Road Runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
