Event overview

The Moscow Mountain Madness takes place in Moscow, ID on October 5, 2025. The event offers three distances:

• 50K
• Half marathon (13.1 miles)
• 5 Mile

Registration is pre-registration only and closes on Friday, October 3 at 11:59 PM PT. No race-day registration is allowed. The event does not offer refunds, but registrants may transfer their bib or change distances before registration closes. Short-sleeve tech shirts are available for purchase; orders placed by September 5 will be ready by race day.

Course, logistics and rules

All courses run on Moscow Mountain and are mostly technical single-track with some logging-road sections. The 50K route is primarily forest single-track, will be fully flagged, and participants are expected to have access to a GPX course file during the race. The 50K has a 10-hour overall cutoff (about 18.66 min/mile) and will include aid station cutoffs. Water stops for the half marathon are at 5.5, 9.5 and 10.75 miles; the 5‑mile course has a water stop at 3 miles. Porta-potties are provided at the start and finish. Limited parking is noted and carpooling is recommended. Dogs and headphones are not allowed. Awards are given to first-place male, female, and nonbinary runners (overall and masters) for each distance. Volunteers are used for parking, aid stations, course marking, and other race duties.
