Moscow Mountain Madness is an annual trail event scheduled for October 4, 2026. Distances offered are:

The race began in 1978, was reinstated in 1992 after a hiatus, the bike race was discontinued in 2010, and the current half-marathon course was established in 2011. Registration is listed as closed for the event.

Course, rules and logistics

All courses run along Moscow Mountain and are mostly technical single-track with some logging roads. The 50k route is mostly forest single-track, rarely repeats, and returned as an in-person event in 2024. 50k entrants must have access to the course GPX file during the race and plan to finish within a 10 hour overall cut-off (about an 18.66 min/mile average). The race uses aid stations and will enforce aid station cut-offs.
