Dixon's Revenge Trail Race

Dixon's Revenge Trail Race takes place in Rollinsford, New Hampshire on Saturday, May 9, 2026, on the banks of the Salmon Falls River. The event features loop trail courses that use rail trail, open fields, dirt roads, and single track along the river. One road section is open to traffic, so runners must check for cars where the course crosses that road.

Distances offered include:

  • Canicross 5K
  • 5K
  • 5 Miler

The 5 Miler is a loop course that begins on the rail trail, passes a water stop, goes down a dirt road, skirts a baseball field, and continues into single track along the river. The 5K and Canicross 5K are loop courses that run along the rail trail, reach an aid station at 1.4 miles, then move onto single track back to the finish marked with flags and signs.

The Canicross event requires one dog per runner, a secure waist-belt leash no longer than 5 feet, and a harness with the attachment point off the collar. Retractable leashes are not allowed. Runners must pick up dog waste, carry proof of rabies vaccination, keep dogs hydrated, and avoid leaving dogs unattended. Dogs should be adequately trained for a 5K and able to cope with other people and animals on course.
