Devil's Punchbowl 10km : Guided trail run in Hindhead, Surrey

This is a guided trail run of 10 km around the Devil's Punchbowl, a natural amphitheatre and local beauty spot. The meeting point is the Devil's Punchbowl Car Park in Hindhead, Surrey. Parking is available on site. The event fee is £22 per person.

The route uses local trails and includes several climbs. The group will pause at the top to take in the views. The run is led by an experienced, qualified guide and is conducted as a group rather than a race. Participants should be comfortable sustaining an average pace around 10 min per mile (6:15 min per km) on trails for prolonged periods; steeper sections are often walked and the group will regroup regularly. Faster runners should expect sections at an easier social pace.

Runs are offered at dusk during lighter months to coincide with sunset and at night during darker months using headtorches in a group environment. A full kit list will be provided before the event. Torches from a partner brand are available to trial during the run. An alcohol free beer may be provided at the end of the run subject to availability. Further practical details are supplied to participants before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
