Daytona Beach’s Easter Beach Run

This Easter-themed beach run was established in 1967 by the City of Daytona Beach and is described as the oldest consecutive footrace in the state of Florida. Events take place on the beach at the Bandshell, 70 Boardwalk, Daytona Beach, FL 32118.

Races and distances include:

• 4 Miles - Out-and-back on the beach, open to all ages.
• 2 Miles - Fun run or health walk option.
• 50 Yards - Kids 3-5 years.
• 100 Yards - Kids 6-7 years.
• 0.25 Miles - Kids 8-9 years.

Both the 4-mile and 2-mile races are professionally chip timed. Kids races award a participant medal to each child. For the 4-mile and 2-mile events there are age-group awards and recognitions for top overall male and female finishers; award ceremonies are held at the race site and results are posted online after each event. The first 800 registered runners and walkers who complete the race receive custom finisher medals.

Registration fees in the source include a standard fee for the 2-mile and 4-mile races and a separate fee for kids races; cash is not accepted on race day. Awards not picked up on race day may be collected at the City of Daytona Beach Parks & Recreation office on weekdays for 30 days or mailed for a fee.
