Moonlight Beach Run : Daytona Beach
The 7th Annual Moonlight Beach Run is a beach race held in Daytona Beach on Saturday, January 9, 2027, with the Daytona Beach Bandshell listed as the race venue. Courses are measured, well marked, and chip timed, and all routes are out-and-back on hard-packed sand along Daytona Beach.
Two primary distances are offered and an option to complete both as a combined challenge:
- 10K (6.2 miles)
- 5K (3.1 miles)
The 15K Bandshell Challenge is available to runners who race both the 10K and the 5K; eligibility for the challenge medal requires specific registration for the 15K Bandshell Challenge. All participants receive a long sleeve tech T-shirt and finishers receive a finisher medal. Additional amenities include food and other on-site services.
Youth and senior discounts are noted: a $5 discount applies automatically for youths 17 and under and for seniors aged 70 and over for the live race. Course maps are posted on Plotaroute.com and RidewithGPS.com. Packet pick-up takes place at the Daytona Beach Bandshell; in-person late registration is not available during packet pick-up, and online registration remains open up to each race.
Awards are given for the 10K and 5K including top three overall, top masters, and top three in each five-year age division for both male and female categories. Volunteer positions are available for race support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
