Dash through the Hills is a charity trail run and walk held at Hardware Hills Vineyard, 5199 W River Rd, Scottsville, VA 24590, on Saturday, December 13, 2025. Proceeds benefit Caring for Creatures animal sanctuary in Fluvanna County, Virginia. Online advance registration and race day registration are available. Pre-registration prices listed are $48, $43, $28, and $28; the day-of price is $50. T-shirts are guaranteed for those who preregistered by November 15.

The course follows trails across the vineyard property and a pathway to the adjacent Hardware River. Route features include an inclined gravel drive, grassy hills, a sloping drop down to the river and back, and winding paths through the vineyard, finishing at the tasting room. Water will be available; wine is available to participants who registered for the wine option and to those over 21 at the tasting room. A food truck (Big Mike's Grilling and BBQ) and live music will be on site. Restrictions noted by the organizer include no pets, no strollers or other wheeled items, and no outside alcohol. There is no rain/ice/snow date; management may cancel or alter the event for safety and entry fees are nonrefundable. Race insurance is offered. Join RRRC in February 2026 at Bear Creek Lake State Park for Bear Creek 10 Mile and 4.2 Mile Mini Trail Runs, offering in person races plus a virtual 10 Mile option. Tackle scenic single track and multi use trails while supporting the park.
