DARTMOOR GRANITE 50

DARTMOOR GRANITE 50 is a long-distance trail race held in Dartmoor National Park. The route is approximately 50 miles and skirts the eastern section of the Moor, crossing several areas of open moorland. The course follows the Dartmoor Way walking route from Scorriton, near Buckfastleigh, eastwards via Ashburton, Haytor, Manaton and Chagford, with the finish in Okehampton at the OCRA Pavilion.

The event includes over 2000 metres of ascent and covers sometimes rugged terrain. There is a maximum time allowance of 15 hours. Competitors must be aged 21 or older, have prior experience of trail marathons, and be able to navigate at night for the final hours. Entrants must have completed a trail marathon between 1 October 2024 and 31 August 2026.

On-course support and facilities include three full checkpoints offering hot food and drinks in sheltered halls, GPS trackers, downloadable GPX files, and professional medical support. Changing and shower facilities, bar and hot meals are available at the event centre, and parking is included for the duration of the race. A coach transfer option to the start is offered for a fee. Trail runs nearby

Three trail races at the Flete Estate in Mothecombe combine private tracks, estuary footpaths and coastal path sections. Distances range from 8.5 to 28.5 miles with marked courses, aid stations, mandatory kit rules and bespoke finishers' me..

Trail races at Roadford Lake on 16 May 2026 offer 10.5 km and 5 km laps, with a half marathon run as two laps of the longer course. Kids races for ages 3 to 11 allow adults to run free and entries include chip timing and a finisher medal.

A fell running event at Meldon Reservoir featuring a five mile senior race climbing 1,362 ft to High Willhays and return, plus junior races over 2 km and 4 km. The course requires self navigation and includes compulsory checkpoints.

A fell race from Peter Tavy across Coombe Tor, Cox Tor and the Langstone with ascents, descents and technical sections. The main senior course is about 10 km and junior races are also provided.
