Dartmoor Granite 50
The Dartmoor Granite 50 is a long-distance running event held within Dartmoor National Park. The course covers a distance of 51 miles and takes place alongside the Dartmoor Full Circle 100 mile race. The route primarily skirts the eastern section of the Moor and includes several stretches of open moorland.
The race starts at Scorriton Village Hall and follows the Dartmoor Way Walking Route. Runners head east towards Ashburton, Haytor, Manaton, and Chagford, eventually finishing at the OCRA Pavilion in Okehampton. The course features more than 2000 metres of total ascent over varied and rugged terrain. Participants have a maximum time allowance of 15 hours to complete the course.
Athletes must meet specific entry requirements to participate. Runners must be at least 21 years old and have completed at least one trail marathon between October 2024 and August 2026. Additionally, participants should possess or intend to gain night navigation skills, as the final hours of the event may take place after dark.
