DARTMOOR GRANITE 50

The Dartmoor Granite 50 is a long trail race of approximately 50 miles that follows the eastern section of Dartmoor and crosses several areas of open moorland. The course begins in Scorriton, near Buckfastleigh, follows the Dartmoor Way via Ashburton, Haytor, Manaton and Chagford, and finishes in Okehampton at the OCRA Pavilion.

The route includes over 2000 metres of ascent and is run alongside the Dartmoor Full Circle 100 event. There is a maximum time allowance of 15 hours. Three full checkpoints on course provide hot food, drinks and other refreshments. GPX files and a pre-marked map are supplied, and GPS trackers are used for competitors.

Support at the event includes professional medical cover, changing and shower facilities, parking at the event centre in Okehampton, and bar and hot food available across the weekend. Bespoke trophies are awarded to the first three male and female finishers.

Entry conditions state a minimum age of 21 and require prior completion of a trail marathon between 1 October 2024 and 31 August 2026. Competitors should have or intend to gain night navigation experience for the final hours of the event. A coach transfer option from Okehampton to Scorriton is available for an additional fee.
