Dartmoor Granite 50

Dartmoor Granite 50 is a long distance trail race run alongside the Dartmoor Full Circle 100. The route skirts the eastern section of Dartmoor and crosses several areas of open moorland, following the Dartmoor Way through Scorriton, Ashburton, Haytor, Manaton and Chagford to the finish in Okehampton.

The course distance is described as a 50 mile event and includes over 2000 metres of ascent across sometimes rugged terrain. There is a maximum time allowance of 15 hours. The event notes the final hours may require night navigation skills.

Entry requirements include a minimum age of 21 and completion of a trail marathon between 1 October 2024 and 31 August 2026. GPS trackers are provided for competitors and GPX files will be available for route navigation.

On-course support and facilities include three full checkpoints offering hot food, drinks and refreshments within sheltered halls, professional medical support from Peninsula Medical, and changing and shower facilities. Additional amenities at the event centre include parking for competitors, bar and hot meals over the weekend, bespoke finishers medals and trophies for first, second and third male and female finishers. Trail runs nearby

Langstone Fell Race runs from Peter Tavy across Coombe Tor, Cox Tor and the Langstone over roughly 10 km, with 2k and 5k options and junior races; parking, toilets and post-race refreshments are provided.

A guided trail run of about 10 miles through woodland tracks, river valley paths and minor lanes around the Tamar Valley, starting at the Tamar Trails carpark. Steady guided pace; trail shoes, waterproof and snacks recommended.

A timed off-road challenge from HMP Dartmoor where participants choose a route on public rights of way and aim for the greatest straight-line distance in 6, 12, or 24 hours. All entrants carry GPS trackers and receive a medal.

Muskie Madness is an unmeasured 10k multi terrain race on 31 May 2026 at Marine Academy Plymouth. The course mixes on road and wooded trail sections and the venue offers showers, bag drop, food and water stations.
