Dart Deliverance offers three waymarked trail routes linking Kingswear, Totnes and Dartmouth. The routes include coastline, riverside paths, quiet country lanes and multi terrain trails, with marshals at some key locations. The last 13 miles of all routes follow the waymarked South Hams Way.
Distances:
- 50k - 5 mile loop around Kingswear and South West Coast Path then joins Marathon route.
- Marathon - trails through Hoodown and Longwood, down to Galmpton Creek, lanes via Stoke Gabriel to Totnes.
- Half Marathon - starts at Longmarsh, Totnes, follows river, South Hams Way through Tuckenhay, Cornworthy and Dittisham to Dartmouth.
Aid stations and ascent:
- 50k: 5 aid stations, approx 4700 ft ascent.
- Marathon: 4 aid stations, approx 4000 ft ascent.
- Half Marathon: 2 aid stations, approx 2200 ft ascent.
Logistics and requirements include route marking, mandatory navigation materials (PDF map, printed map or GPX on phone/watch), and compulsory kit: mobile phone with the race director number, waterproof jacket, and a filled water bottle or hydration pack of at least 500 ml. The event is cupless; runners must carry their own drinking vessel. Participants are advised to carry nutrition and a spare cup if they want squash or coke at aid stations. Finishers receive a bespoke Dart Deliverance medal and a cupcake.
Entry fees vary by distance and affiliation status. Minimum ages apply: over 18 for Half Marathon and Marathon, over 21 for the 50k. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
