The Dark Hollow Wallow is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Big Ridge State Park Visitor Center on state highway 61 between Norris and Maynardville, Tennessee. The event offers the following races:

Entry fees shown on the event page include standard and student prices (for example, the 11 Mile and 5 Mile listed at $30, student entries at $22, and the Kids Trail Mile at $9). Registration notes state there are no refunds and no bib transfers. KTC member discounts apply and series bundle passes are available.

Course, rules and services

The 11 mile and 5 mile courses run on trails and include hilly terrain. Aid and water stations are provided, but only very small cups will be available; runners are urged to carry their own water. The event enforces safety and conduct rules: no headsets or earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades, or pets on the course. Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to run the adult races. An 18:00 per mile minimum pace will be enforced and a sweeper will remove slower runners. T-shirts for the series are limited edition and one shirt is provided per runner per season. Grand Prix points are awarded (full points for the 11 Miler, half points for the 5 Miler) and series awards require KTC membership and two volunteer shifts. Sponsors are listed for the event.
