Course, rules and safety

The 11-mile course runs on trail terrain with mud and hills; the 5-mile course is shorter but similar in character. Course rules prohibit headsets, earphones, bicycles, baby strollers, roller blades and pets. Aid and water stations will be provided with very small cups; runners are urged to carry their own water and any medication for insect sensitivities. Runners under 12 must be accompanied by an adult to enter the adult races. An 18:00-per-mile minimum pace will be enforced and a sweeper will be used. Results will be posted on the race results page. Grand Prix points are awarded (full for the 11 miler, half for the 5 miler) and series awards require KTC membership and volunteer service.
