Dalton Canyon Ultra - Glendora, CA
The Dalton Canyon Ultra is a trail running event held on February 6, 2027, in Big Dalton Canyon near Glendora, California, in the Angeles National Forest. The course uses dirt trails and some pavement and records over 9,000 feet of total elevation gain and loss.
The event offers the following distances:
- 50K solo - trail race starting and finishing at Big Dalton Campground.
- 50K 4-person relay - same 50K course divided into four legs, teams by gender categories.
- 10K solo - 7.2 mile loop beginning and ending at Big Dalton Campground.
The 50K course follows a sequence of canyon and mountain trails: it departs Big Dalton Campground, passes the Dalton Fire Station, climbs Garcia Trail and Glendora Mountain Road toward Glendora Mountain Peak, and reaches an aid station near GMR. The route continues via Lower Monroe Trail, Mystic Canyon Trail, Big Dalton Canyon, Poop Out Trail, Punk Out, Truck Trail and a second aid point on Glendora Mountain Road, then returns through Keiser Trail system, Wren Meacham Trail and the Equestrian Area back to Big Dalton Campground.
Relay teams are organized into men, women, and mixed categories; teams are expected to complete assigned legs and substitutions are not permitted if a runner cannot finish their section.
