The Crystal Springs Trail Run takes place on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Huddart Park (Werder Shelter), 1100 Kings Mountain Road, Woodside, CA 94062. The event offers the following distances:

Course and event details

Courses run through Huddart Park, King's Mountain, and Bear Gulch and pass redwood and fern areas. Routes are marked with ribbon about every 200 yards and color coded by distance. Polka-dot flagging indicates turns; blue ribbons mark the wrong way. GPX files are provided for each distance.

Elevation gain and course surface by distance:

  • 8K: 710' gain; single track 48%, dirt road 40%, asphalt 12%
  • Half Marathon: 2,190' gain; single track 78%, dirt road 18%, asphalt 4%
  • 35K: 2,990' gain; single track 87%, dirt road 11%, asphalt 2%
  • Marathon: 3,790' gain; single track 72%, dirt road 26%, asphalt 2%
  • 50K: 4,530' gain; single track 72%, dirt road 26%, asphalt 2%

Aid stations are fully stocked every 5 to 9 miles with fresh fruit, salty snacks, candy, water, and Skratch electrolyte drink. Runners are recommended to carry at least 20 oz of water between aid stations. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own fluid container. Parking is $6 per vehicle. No dogs are allowed in the park.

All finishers receive a custom medal; pre-registered runners receive T-shirts. Timing uses MyLaps BibTag timing and results are published regularly. Time limit for all events is 8.5 hours; Marathon and 50K have intermediate cutoffs at the Bear Gulch aid station (11 mi) at specified elapsed times.
