Phoenix: Crystal Palace - Strictly Running

Phoenix Running stages a timed lap event at Crystal Palace Park on 21 February 2027. The course uses a 2.65 km (1.65 mile) lap on park paths and combines tarmac and gravel surfaces. Participants may complete as many or as few laps as they wish to reach a chosen distance. Distances offered include:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km
  • Half marathon
  • Marathon
  • Ultra

A minimum distance of 3.30 miles applies and the event has a seven hour time limit. The route is off road trail with gentle undulations and several steep sections. Road or trail shoes are recommended depending on weather and conditions.

All entrants receive a physical giveaway medal or memento. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and will adhere to UK Athletics rules. Age limit is 18 years old and above.

Access to the park is possible on foot from Crystal Palace Station or Penge West Station. Several bus routes serve the area. A June 28th trail event at 3 Brewers Brewery in Hertfordshire offering 5 km and 10 km multi terrain laps, mostly off road, with a medal, pint cup and free drink for finishers plus live jazz and charity fundraising.

A Half Marathon at Box Hill Fort (Tadworth) on 28 June 2026 with more than 3000 feet of ascent and descent. The route runs mainly on rough tracks and offers views over the North Downs, the Mole Gap, Denbies Vineyard and Dorking.

An annual 30 km multi terrain run through the Kent countryside organised by Istead and Ifield Harriers. The 2026 event is on 28 June with on day entries at £45; the race is Run Britain licensed and holds a BARR Gold Rating.

Pretty Muddy 5k at Blackheath Common on 28 June 2026. A grassy obstacle course with staggered wave starts, marshals on the route, toilets and refreshments available, and a minimum fundraising target of £50.
