Phoenix : Crystal Palace - Retro Run

Phoenix Running Crystal Palace is organising Retro Run in Crystal Palace Park on Sunday 20 September 2026. The event uses a fixed lap of 2.65 km (1.65 mile). Participants may complete as many or as few laps as they wish within a seven hour time limit; the minimum recorded distance is 3.30 miles.

The course is off road trail with a mix of tarmac and gravel pathways. It features gentle undulations and some steep sections that rise sharply. Road or trail shoes are recommended depending on weather and ground conditions.

The event is timed and licensed by the Trail Running Association, and it will adhere to UK Athletics rules. Entry numbers are limited. Age restriction applies to participants aged 18 years and above. All participants, whether attended or virtual, will receive a physical giveaway medal or memento; finishers receive a bespoke finishers' medal.

Transport links: the park is a short walk from Crystal Palace Station and Penge West Station, and multiple bus routes serve the surrounding area. A weekend running festival at Blackland Farm on 18–19 July 2026 offering 1-mile lap formats: 24-hour and 12-hour solos, team relays, plus P24 and P12 paced challenges. Off-road course, camping included and limited Bell Tent upgrades.

Pretty Muddy 5k at Tilgate Park in Crawley is an obstacle course around Tilgate Lake with climbs, crawls and slides. The event raises funds for Cancer Research UK and offers on-site toilets, refreshments and parking.

A muddy 5k obstacle course at Stoke Park in Guildford on 18 July 2026 with staggered wave starts. Entry fees and a minimum fundraising target apply; participants must be 13 or older.

A group trail run from Dorking Station through Denbies Wine Estate and the North Downs, followed by stone baked pizza and a guided Denbies wine tasting. Options include an 8 km loop or a 5 km walk.
