Cross Country 3-Miler and Club Picnic

The Cross Country 3-Miler is an athletic event held at Nottoway Park in Vienna, Virginia. This event marks the conclusion of the summer season and the Bunion Derby race series organized by the DC Road Runners Club. The primary race follows a cross country course that spans a distance of 3 miles.

In addition to the main race, the event includes activities for younger participants and those not participating in the long-distance run:

  • 3 Miles
  • Kids Fun Run

The race serves as a competitive event where awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as masters winners. Age group awards are also distributed three-deep in ten-year increments for both male and female categories.

A club picnic follows the completion of the races, providing food and drinks for all registered participants. Registration is required for all attendees, including those who only wish to attend the picnic without participating in the run. The event is part of a larger series and follows specific race series rules. Participants who are members of the organizing club receive a registration discount.
