Creekside Trails Race 5K and Team 30K
The Creekside Trails Race takes place on October 3, 2026 at Creekside Trails in Valparaiso, IN (2551 Clifford Rd.). The event is hosted by Valparaiso Firefighters Local 1124 and offers two distinct race formats on the trail system.
- 5K - single loop on smooth, moderately technical trail
- 30K team relay - 2-loop course; teams of 2 to 6, each runner completes a loop
The 5K is a single-loop trail run of approximately 3.1 miles. The 30K is operated as a team relay on a two-loop course totaling about 30K (roughly 18.6 miles), with exchanges at the start/finish exchange zone and flexible leg splitting among team members.
Aid stations are located at start/finish, mid-loop, far-loop, and the 5K point. Water is available at the start and finish. All stations offer water and electrolytes; snacks are provided at stations serving the 30K relay. Timing is chip-based; team results are provided for the relay. 5K participants receive chip timing, a finisher medal, and post-race snacks; optional race shirts are offered for both events.
Registration is tiered with early, regular, and late fees (early $40, regular $45, late $50). Registration opens May 25, 2026 and closes August 1, 2026.
