Creekside Trails Race 5K and Team 30K : Valparaiso, IN

The Creekside Trails event on October 3, 2026 takes place at Creekside Trails, 2551 Clifford Rd., Valparaiso, Indiana. It is hosted by Valparaiso Firefighters Local 1124 and offers two race formats on local trails.

Race options include:

  • 5K Trail Run - Single loop on smooth to moderately technical trail
  • 30K Team Relay - Two-loop course totaling 30K with team exchanges

The 5K is a single loop suited to community participants and walkers. The 30K is run as a team relay on a two-loop course; teams may consist of 2 to 6 runners and rotate at the start and finish exchange zone. Each loop is about 9 to 10 miles and teams may split legs in different ways.

Aid stations are placed at start and finish and at mid and far loop points for the 30K. All stations provide water and electrolytes; snacks are available for 30K participants. Timing for both events is chip based. The 5K includes a finisher medal; 30K teams receive team results. Optional race shirts and post-race food are offered.

Registration fees vary by entry period. The event is hosted to support community engagement and promote outdoor activity. There are no refunds and the event may be modified for safety. Trail Golf Endurance Challenge is a one day trail running stage race scored like golf. Participants run timed Holes and earn stroke scores, with options for a 50K over nine Holes or a 10M over three Holes.

The 45th YMCA Brickyard Run in Hobart, Indiana features a 5 mile race, a 5K Gold Cup race, and a new 2K family fun run, with trademark brick awards and computerized on the bib timing.

Oakadoke Trail Runs in Valparaiso, IN features single track trails with varied terrain and pond views. Three distances are offered, aid stations are spaced along the route, and a post race meal is provided; the event is cupless.

Ten hour endurance run at Bluhm County Park using hourly loops of about 4 miles. Participants earn chips after four loops to trade for prizes, and finishers receive a limited edition t shirt and a wooden Chupacabra medal.
