Cowboy YETI Trail Run - Bastrop State Park
The Cowboy YETI Trail Run takes place at Bastrop State Park on January 23, 2027. The event uses the Lost Pines Trail and runs on dirt and rocky single track through hilly terrain. The course shows about 800 feet of elevation gain every 20K loop. Historic average temperatures are about 40 to 62 degrees.

Aid and course support are provided on a short loop format. Yukon aid station is at mile 4.4 and 9.4 with no parking and no drop bags. The main aid station is at mile 12.5 at the start and finish area. Aid stations supply hot and cold foods, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice and ice. No drop bags will be shipped.
Mandatory equipment and rules include carrying a water system (16-ounce minimum except for the 7K), carrying a phone at all times, and a 25 pound minimum ruck weight. For the 100K, a headlamp is required during dark hours and an emergency blanket is required. Pacers are allowed only for the final two loops of the 100K. Participants who leave the race early must notify staff at the start or finish.
Parking and spectator access use a shuttle from Mayfest Park to the start and finish area for most distances. Awards include finisher medals, a long sleeve shirt, trophies for first place, and distance-specific patches and buckles. The event is part of the Texas Legends Series.
