Cowboy YETI
Cowboy YETI is a trail running event held at Bastrop State Park in Bastrop, TX. The event offers multiple distance options and uses the park's dirt single track trails. The course follows a 20K loop of trails that begins and ends at the State Park Refectory.
Distances include:
- 100K
- 60K
- 40K
- 20K
- 20K RUCK
- 7K
The terrain is dirt and rocky single track with hilly sections; the course shows about 800 feet of elevation gain every 20K loop. The event is part of the Texas Legends Series. Aid stations provide food and hydration along a fully marked and supported course. Photography is provided and participants receive race gear and finisher awards that vary by distance, including medals and a 100K buckle.
Logistics note: most distances park at Mayfest Park and are shuttled to the start area, while 100K parking is at the State Park Refectory. Packet pickup and race day services are based at the Refectory. Pacers are allowed on the last two loops of the 100K with a limit of one pacer per participant. The event does not provide disposable cups, so participants must bring their own water carrying system. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
