Cote Dame Marie Ski Loppet
The Cote Dame Marie Ski Loppet is a cross country ski event held at Hanson Hills Recreation Area lodge, 7601 Old Lake Road, Grayling, Michigan. Packet pick up and day of registration are conducted at the lodge. Registration opens September 14, 2026 and closes January 14, 2027; fees range from $15 to $40.
The event uses chip timing with the chip attached to the bib. Participants receive a souvenir finish receipt at the awards table and do not need to return the chip. Results are posted periodically at the Hanson Hills lodge. All finishers receive a souvenir finisher medal and a finishing time receipt.
The course is a loop trail with the start behind the softball field and the finish at the base of the ski hill behind the lodge. Start and finish areas are a short ski or walk from warming areas. The 11 km races complete one lap. The 22 km race completes one lap and then follows the Guyton Trail to the Blue uphill to complete a second lap. The Citizen Classic course is set with a classic track for the entire length.
Participants are encouraged to carry or provide their own water bottle. Food options are available at nearby sponsor locations including Grayling Restaurant, Paddle Hard Brewery, Spikes Keg O Nails and XC Headquarters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
