Coombabah Trail Run : Coombabah Lake Conservation Area, 7/06/2026

The Coombabah Trail Run is a community trail running and walking event held at the Coombabah Lake Conservation Area in Coombabah, Queensland. The race start and finish are at the main entrance of the reserve, opposite the Southport Airfield on Shelter Road at the Koala Trail.

The event offers the following distance options:

  • 13.2 km
  • 6.2 km

On race day participants receive a race number and a Coombabah Trail Run logoed event visor. At the finish, participants are offered a sweet item and a cold refreshment. A fully equipped paramedical team is on site during the event.

Organizers are local runners and residents who limit entries to keep the event small and personal and to protect the conservation area. The Coombabah wetlands form part of the Southern Moreton Bay Marine Park and are listed under the Ramsar Convention on wetlands of international importance.

Prizes and draws include custom YETI drinkware and Specialized branded T shirts. From 2025 one entrant across the annual events will receive entries, accommodation for two people and transport to the Papatowai Challenge in Otago, New Zealand; that prize is drawn from entries across the year.

A refund policy covers participant cancellations and event postponement or cancellation with specific conditions and timeframes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
