Event Overview

The Coombabah Trail Run takes place in the Coombabah Lake Conservation Area. The start and finish are at the main entrance of the reserve, on Shelter Road (Koala Trail), opposite the Southport Airfield. The wetlands are part of the internationally significant Southern Moreton Bay Marine Park and are registered in the Ramsar Convention.

Two distances are offered:

  • 13.2km
  • 6.2km

Race Day Information

Registration opens at 06:15. Each runner receives a race number and a visor with the event logo.

  • The 13.2km distance starts at 07:00.
  • The 6.2km distance starts at 07:15. The cut-off time for both distances is 10:00. A paramedical team is on site during the race.

At the finish, participants receive "something sweet and something cold."

Prizes and Sponsors

Prizes include YETI custom drinkware and Specialized T-shirts with an embroidered event logo in lucky draws. From 2025, one entry from all three yearly events will be drawn to win a trip for two to the Papatowai Challenge in Otago, New Zealand, including event entry, accommodation, and transport.
