The Coombabah Trail Run is scheduled for 8 March 2026 at the Coombabah Lakes Conservation Area, Lakelands Rd, Coombabah, Queensland 4216. The event is organized by Coombabah Trail Run with start and finish at the main reserve entrance opposite the Southport Airfield on Shelter Road (Koala Trail). Distances offered:

Race details and facilities

Registration provides each participant with a race number/bib and a Coombabah Trail Run logoed event visor. At the finish participants receive a sweet item and a cold item. A fully equipped paramedical team will be on site during the race. The organisers state they limit entries to keep field sizes small and personal.

Prizes and conservation

The event includes lucky-draw prizes such as YETI custom drinkware. The organisers also run an annual prize that sends a participant to the Papatowai Challenge in Otago, New Zealand; this prize is drawn from entries across the yearly events and includes event entry and accommodation for two, supported by Sport Otago. The Coombabah wetlands form part of the Southern Moreton Bay Marine Park and are registered under the Ramsar Convention on wetlands of international importance.
