Colonel Cross Country 3200m

The Colonel Cross Country 3200m is a community running event held at Nicholls Farm in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The race is organized as part of the larger Nicholls XC Invitational and takes place on a cross country course composed of low mowed grass and sections of dirt road.

Participants can choose from the following distances:

  • 3200m trail race
  • 1k Free Kids Run for participants aged 12 and under

The event features student athletes from the Nicholls Track and Field program who are positioned at key turns throughout the course to provide direction and encouragement. After the race, refreshments are provided to all competitors. Participants are also invited to stay and observe the University and High School races that follow the community event.

Prizes are awarded to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top overall masters male and female finishers. Specialized awards are also presented to the top male, female, and nonbinary Nicholls students. If the total number of entries exceeds 50 participants, additional age group medals are distributed. Registration is open to the general public, while current Nicholls students may access registration through a partnership with Nicholls SPA.
