Coldwater In Your Veins - Last Person Standing

Coldwater In Your Veins is a last person standing ultrarace held at the Horse Corral pavilion in Coldwater Canyon, North Ogden, UT. Competitors run repeated laps of the Coldwater Loop. Each lap is 7.7 miles and includes approximately 1200 feet of elevation gain, with most climbing occurring in the first 2.5 miles. Odd-numbered laps are run clockwise and even-numbered laps counterclockwise.

The format requires runners to complete each lap within two hours. Runners who do not return to the runners' corral before the next lap starts are disqualified. The race continues only while at least two runners start each new lap; the winner must complete the last lap that the second place runner does not complete.

Facilities at the start/finish include a pavilion and bathrooms with running water. Participants may set up a 10 by 10 foot aid or tent spot in the horse arena. Water, electrolyte drinks, and some provisions are available at the pavilion, but crews are encouraged to bring specific supplies they need. Wind is commonly noted at the site; stakes alone may not secure canopies on the soft sandy ground, and crews are advised to use weights.
