Event overview

The Cody Run the Runway & Trails - Once in a Blue Moon is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2025 in Cody, Wyoming. It is the third annual edition and takes place at Yellowstone Regional Airport / 2101 Rodger Sedam Drive, Cody, WY 82414. The course uses airport trails and tarmacs with a mix of road and trail terrain, and the event is held at night under the moon and stars. Participants are advised to bring a light or headlamp.

Registration, fees and logistics

Early registration is priced at $35 for registrations completed before October 8, 2025; the fee is $45 for registrations after that date. A race T-shirt is available for an additional $15; shirts purchased after October 8 may not be available on race day and a post-race pick-up location will be announced. Finishers receive a custom "Once In A Blue Moon" medal. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 17 at Yellowstone Regional Airport, with race day packet pickup available at the venue. After the event there will be music, food trucks, and an after-party. Proceeds benefit development of commercial air service in the Big Horn Basin; the event is organized by Cody-Yellowstone Air Improvement Resources (CYAIR), a non-profit 501(c)(4).
