Coal Mine Trail Run

The Coal Mine Trail Run takes place in the Upper Left of the Pacific Northwest, starting and finishing in Cle Elum, Washington. The course begins at Wye Park and leads participants on an upward climb toward the historic town of Roslyn. The route traverses the area's Urban Forest before descending back to the starting location.

The event offers two distinct distances for participants:

  • 10K trail run
  • 15K trail run

The trails showcase the natural scenery and coal mining heritage of the region during the transition into autumn. Participants move through historic landscapes while experiencing the seasonal environment of a Pacific Northwest Indian Summer. The event has a three-hour time limit for completion.

Registration for the event includes a Junkbrand headband, a commemorative medal, a chip-timed bib, and post-race snacks. Participants have the option to purchase a short-sleeve lifestyle shirt made from recycled Poly Rayon for an additional cost if ordered by the specific cutoff date. The event maintains a policy that does not allow dogs on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
