The Cirque Series race at Snowbird, UT is scheduled for July 11, 2026. The event distance is 8.9 miles with 3,610 ft of climbing. The field is capped at 500 runners and includes Sport, Expert and Pro divisions plus a Volunteer category. A Forest Service fee of $2.00 applies. Prizes are awarded for each race in the three divisions, including cash for the Pro podium (first place $1,000, second $250, third $150) and gear awards for Expert and Sport places. Additional recognitions include youngest competitor, wisest competitor, an unofficial MVP, and a middle-of-the-pack award. Racers earn points toward overall series standings; competitors who complete six 2026 Cirque Series races receive a PEAK FREAK belt buckle.
Course and logistics
The course starts at the Snowbird base area and climbs to the high alpine, reaching Hidden Peak and the Summit of Mt. Baldy as the highest point. The route uses a mix of service roads, singletrack and ridge trails and includes steep and technical sections plus a boulder traverse. Hydration is provided at two aid stations and at the finish. There is a strict cut-off at Hidden Peak summit - competitors not meeting the cut-off will be routed off course and may take the tram down. Timing is by a disposable chip on the back of the bib.
