Cirque Series - Snowbird
The Cirque Series - Snowbird is a mountain running event held in Snowbird, Utah, within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The race is capped at 500 runners, and participants are divided across three categories: Sport, Expert, and Pro.
The course covers a distance of 8.9 miles and features 3,610 feet of vertical gain. This high-alpine route begins at the Tram Plaza base area and starts on a service road along a creek. After half a mile, the ascent begins toward the Mid-Gad chair and continues onto the Peruvian service road via Rothman Way. Runners follow the Ridge trail toward Hidden Peak, which offers views of the Wasatch Range.
Participants reach the highest point of the race at the summit of Mt. Baldy, accessed via singletrack trail. The descent includes technical sections and a boulder traverse before reaching the Snowbird Ski-through Tunnel. The final segment follows service roads and the Peruvian Gulch singletrack back to the finish line at the Tram Plaza.
A strict 2-hour cut-off time is enforced at the Hidden Peak summit. Competitors who do not meet this time must take the tram back down. Because the race takes place in protected watersheds, dogs are not permitted at the venue or in vehicles. Registered runners receive a snapback hat, a logoed bib, a medal, and a swag bag.
