Course, logistics and prizes
The route starts at a Snowbird base area and climbs to Hidden Peak and the Summit of Mt. Baldy. The course uses service roads, Rothman Way, Peruvian Gulch Trail, Ridge Trail, Gorilla Pass and singletrack. It includes steep and technical sections, a boulder traverse, and a final descent of about three miles down Peruvian Gulch to return to the base area. Hydration is provided at two aid stations and at the finish. There is a strict 2-hour cut-off at Hidden Peak summit; competitors who miss the cut-off will take the tram down. Timing uses a disposable chip on the back of the bib supplied by Competitive Timing. Prizes for individual races include cash for Pro places and gear for Expert and Sport places; series points are awarded to the top 20 finishers and season awards are planned. Participants are asked to respect private property, follow leave-no-trace rules, and note fines apply for dogs at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
