Course and logistics

The course is 8.2 miles with 3,010 ft of elevation gain and lies inside the Green Mountain National Forest. The counter-clockwise route starts at the K-1 Gondola base area and summits three of Killington Resort’s peaks, including Snowden Peak (3,592 ft) and Killington Peak (4,242 ft). Aid stations are located at about mile 3.16 and mile 6.6, and hydration is available at those stations and at the finish. Course surfaces include steep, rocky, grassy, wet and slippery sections. The route is marked with orange flagging; runners are asked to follow the flagged route and report injured competitors to a course marshal, EMT or rescue services. There is a strict cut-off at Killington Peak summit; competitors who miss it will be taken off course via the chairlift. Timing uses a disposable chip on the back of the bib and results are posted after the event. Packet pickup is available at the K1 Lodge the day before and at the race venue on race day.
