The counterclockwise course starts at the base of the K-1 Gondola and follows a service road up to Bunny Buster. The route descends on service and 4x4 roads, follows the Bear Cub trail to the base of Needle's Eye, and climbs Bearly trail to Aid Station #2. The course includes steep, rocky, grassy, wet and slippery sections and is marked with orange flagging. Competitors must follow the marked route for safety. There is a strict cut-off time at Killington Peak summit of 1:30 hours; competitors missing that cutoff will use the chairlift to descend. The course may be adjusted if necessary.
