Cirque Series : Killington, Vermont

The event on June 27, 2026 is a mountain trail race held at Killington Resort. The main course is 8.2 miles with 3,010 ft of elevation gain and includes summiting three of the resort’s six peaks. The course starts at the base of the K-1 Gondola and is run counter clockwise, following service roads, ridge trails and singletrack.

Key route features include Buster Bunny, a route around Snowden Peak (3,592 ft), the Great Northern Trail and Cat Walk, a summit of Killington Peak (4,242 ft), a descent to Aid Station #1 at mile 3.16, downhill sections on service and jeep roads, Bear trax to Bear Mountain Peak, flowy Bear Cub trails to Aid Station #2 at mile 6.6, a final climb on Bearly trail into Needle’s Eye (about a quarter mile at roughly 45 percent grade), then a short descent on Bittersweet back to the K1 finish.

The course is located within Green Mountain National Forest. Organizers note steep, rocky, grassy, wet and slippery conditions and require competitors to follow orange flagging for safety. Two aid stations plus finish line hydration are available. There is a strict summit cutoff of 1 hour 30 minutes at Killington Peak; competitors over that cutoff may be removed by chairlift. The race is capped at 700 entries. Categories listed are Sport, Expert, Pro and Volunteer. Prize structures specify cash awards for Pro and gear awards for Expert and Sport.
