Cirque Series - Cannon Mountain

The event takes place June 13, 2026 at Cannon Mountain in Franconia Notch State Park, New Hampshire. The single course measures 6.9 miles with 3,080 feet of elevation gain and finishes at the Peabody Base Area.

The route begins at the Peabody Base Area, ascends the Peabody Slopes, crosses the Front5 toward the Aerial Tramway, and continues on the Kinsman Ridge Trail. The Kinsman Ridge section is a steep, rocky and secluded two mile stretch with about 2,081 feet of elevation gain before the Cannon Mountain summit at 4,031 feet. From the summit the course crosses under the Cannonball Quad, drops via Upper Ravine Trail, then rises over The Saddle toward Mittersill. Runners follow ski trails including Skyline, Ridge Run, Dragons Drop, a short push on Baron’s Run, and a final descent on Coyote Crossing back to Peabody.

The course surface can be steep, rocky, grassy, wet and slippery. The route is marked with orange flagging and a strict two hour cut off at the Cannon Mountain summit is enforced; competitors over that limit will take the tramway down. The course may be adjusted if necessary.

Entries are capped at 500. Divisions include Sport, Expert, Pro, and a Volunteer category. Prize structures are listed for Pro, Expert and Sport classes and the top 20 finishers score points toward overall series standings. Participants receive a snapback, a giveaway ticket, a logoed bib and medal, a sponsor swag bag, free professional photos, Skratch hydration at aid stations and timing via a disposable chip on the back of the bib.
