Phoenix Running - Walton-on-Thames Cakeathon

Phoenix Running stages the Surrey Cakeathon on Saturday 26 September 2026 at Xcel SPORTS HUB Stadium, Waterside Drive, Walton on Thames, Surrey KT12 2JG. The event is a timed, multi-lap format on a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) out and back course along the river Thames towpath. The surface is off road trail and the overall course has no elevation gain or loss.

Participants may complete as many or as few laps as they choose within a seven hour time limit. The minimum distance is one lap, 3.28 miles. Organisers operate a flexible rock up and run start within a one hour start window and can accommodate special start time requests depending on planned distance.

The aid station will be stocked with a variety of cakes and bakes and entrants are encouraged to bring homemade items such as cookies, cupcakes or fudge. Trophies will be awarded for the three best bakes as judged by the organiser. Finishers are offered a bespoke finishers medal, and a trial no medal entry option is available at a flat £20. Standard entry fees are listed as £37.95 affiliated and £39.95 unaffiliated. Same day results, athlete profiles, digital BIBs and digital finishers certificates are provided.
