Chanoko Trail Runs 31K, 10K and 5K

The Chanoko Trail Runs take place at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, with the 31K starting from Auburn Overlook Park. The event offers three distances:

  • 31K (19.26 miles)
  • 10K (6.2 miles)
  • 5K (3.1 miles)

All finishers receive a Chanoko finisher medal. In addition, 31K finishers receive a custom long sleeve hoodie. Overall male and female champions in each race receive special champion awards. Custom award plaques are presented three deep in each 10 year age division.

The 31K course includes six aid stations. Stations are stocked with cold water, FLUID electrolyte beverage, Coke, Hammer energy gels, sweet and salty snacks, trail mix, dill pickles, fruit, Vaseline and basic first aid. Post race food is available at Granite Beach for all runners.

Race packets and bib pickup are available on race morning at the race site. A shuttle bus transports 31K runners from the finish area to the start; shuttle tickets are limited and cost $30. Athletes who register during race week will have finisher apparel mailed to them and the apparel may not be available at the finish.

Listening devices such as MP3 players and headphones are allowed in the 31K and 5K, with the expectation that runners remain cautious when crossing roads and on trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
