Wendover Woods 50

The Wendover Woods 50 is a trail running event held in Halton near Aylesbury. The course consists of a 50 mile foot race situated entirely within the forest trails of Wendover Woods. Participants complete the distance by running five identical 10 mile loops.

The terrain features a diverse mix of forest trails, including wide, soft surfaces and smooth descents. The route is characterized by both runnable climbs and several much steeper ascents and descents distributed throughout each loop. The total elevation gain for the event is 5600ft of climb. The race takes place in the Chiltern countryside, passing through historic picturesque villages and locations used in British film and television.

This event serves as the fourth and final race in the 50 Mile Grand Slam. It is held under full UK Athletics regulations with a permit granted through the Trail Running Association (TRA). To participate, runners must be at least 20 years old.

The event provides full support to participants, including:
